March 9 - 13 2026

About Giving Week

What:
Giving Week 2026:
Help raise money for SWOSU campus projects!
When:
Monday, March 9, through Friday, March 13 2026
Who:
All alumni and friends are encouraged to participate.
What counts:
All gifts make a difference, no matter the size! Your impact will be felt in the classroom, on the field, and in the community.
Why:
SWOSU’s Giving Week is a chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives through campus projects that benefit all SWOSU students. These initiatives strengthen school spirit and improve facilities for both campus life and teaching.

SHINE Scholarship Fund

The SHINE Scholarship Fund supports SWOSU students by helping remove financial barriers to higher education. Giving Week support of this general scholarship fund ensures more students have the opportunity to pursue their degrees and achieve their goals at SWOSU.

Nursing Lab Simulation Bays

Goal: $17,000 (one bay)

Support the Future of Healthcare Education at SWOSU

The newly expanded SWOSU Nursing Lab will include four state-of-the-art simulation bays, each designed to mirror real hospital and clinical environments. These bays provide realistic, hands-on training that allows nursing students to practice essential skills such as patient assessment, medication administration, and critical thinking.

SWOSU Nursing is seeking Giving Week support to fully outfit 1 of these 4 simulation bays. With your support, SWOSU can ensure nursing students graduate confident, prepared, and ready to meet the growing healthcare needs of our communities.

GLOW UP SWOSU – Campus Lighting Initiative

Goal: $7,500

The GLOW UP SWOSU Campus Lighting Initiative will add new lighting in areas most frequently used by students after sunset, helping them feel safer and more confident as they move across campus at night. These areas include Residence Life parking areas and entrances, the Al Harris Library, and the Pharmacy Annex. Every gift helps create a safer environment for our students.

Residence Halls Lobby Renovation

Goal: $30,000

Residence hall lobbies are more than just entryways. These shared spaces are where students gather to study, relax, and connect.

Over time, these important common areas have become outdated and no longer fully meet the needs of today’s students. Through the Residence Halls Lobby Renovation Project, SWOSU seeks support to refresh and revitalize residence hall lobbies by repainting and refurnishing these spaces to improve comfort, functionality, and appearance. The structures of focus for this campaign will be Neff, Mann South, and Stewart Halls.

Level Up Esports

Goal: $50,000

Powering Competitive Play and Community Impact

The SWOSU Esports program is rapidly growing and has become a major point of pride for the university. However, current computer systems no longer meet the performance standards required for competitive collegiate and high-level scholastic Esports. Modern Esports titles demand reliable, high-performance PCs, and upgrading this equipment is essential for SWOSU students to compete on equal footing with programs across the nation.

This project seeks funding for 10 new competitive-grade computers, ensuring students have the tools they need to practice, compete, and represent SWOSU at the highest level.

Portable Production Station

Goal: $9,000

The Portable Production Station will allow video, voice, and live streaming for events in a portable package while engaging students.  This station would be used by student leaders at events like orientation and tailgating.

Student Union Spirit

Goal: $20,000

For generations, the SWOSU Memorial Student Union has served as the heart of the university. It is much more than just a place to eat.

Every campus tour walks through the doors of the Student Union, introducing prospective students and their parents to the space where Bulldogs come together.

While deeply loved, the Memorial Student Union is aging and in need of updates to help it continue serving as a vibrant, welcoming centerpiece of campus life. The Student Union Spirit Project seeks $20,000 to refresh key visual and communal elements that celebrate SWOSU’s past, present, and future.

Athletic Championship Banners

Goal: $30,000

Championship banners are more than decorations—they are symbols of dedication, teamwork, and Bulldog pride. The Championship Banners Project will recognize and celebrate SWOSU’s historic athletic achievements while inspiring today’s student-athletes to strive for excellence.

This project will begin at the Pioneer Event Center (PEC) with championship banners recognizing Basketball and Volleyball, two programs with rich traditions of success. Future phases will expand recognition to additional sports, including Football, Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Rodeo, and Golf, with banners displayed in their respective athletic facilities.

Athletic Strength & Conditioning Equipment

Goal: $25,000

Powering Performance for Every Bulldog Athlete

The athletic strength and conditioning facility is a shared training space used by all SWOSU athletic programs. From preseason preparation to in-season maintenance and recovery, every student-athlete relies on this facility to build strength, improve mobility, and prepare for competition.

To continue supporting the health, safety, and performance of Bulldog athletes, SWOSU is seeking Giving Week support to purchase new trap bars, plyometric boxes and weights. Updated equipment enables coaches and staff to deliver effective, sport-specific training while helping reduce the risk of injury and enhance overall athletic performance.

Bulldog Excellence

The Bulldog Excellence Fund is the general support fund of the SWOSU Foundation, providing flexible resources that allow the university to respond to immediate needs and invest in opportunities that strengthen Southwestern Oklahoma State University as a whole. During Giving Week, support for this fund ensures SWOSU remains strong, responsive, and positioned for excellence.

When you give to the Bulldog Excellence Fund, you are investing in the entire university and helping ensure that SWOSU can continue to serve students, faculty, and the broader community with excellence.
