The 2023 Friends of Crowder Lake members-only cocktail hour & dinner is March 24, 2023, marking the official opening of Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s (SWOSU’s) Crowder Lake University Park for the season. The event will take place in the North Family Building at Crowder Lake University Park immediately following the 5:00 p.m. North Family Endowed Lecture Series presentation by 2010 SWOSU alumnus Micah Booze, “The Human Experience in Wildland Firefighting.”

Catered by Blue Mountain Smoke, the cocktail hour/dinner is exclusively available to members of the SWOSU Friends of Crowder Lake organization. Individual, family, and corporate membership are available at affordable rates. Those who wish to attend the cocktail hour and dinner may join the Friends of Crowder Lake and take advantage of the many benefits of membership at www.FriendsofSWOSUCrowderLake.com.

Operated by SWOSU since 1997, Crowder Lake University Park is a 158-water-acre and 159-land-acre park located seven miles south of Weatherford. The park boasts a number of facilities and has numerous outdoor activities for the public to enjoy. A ropes course, cabins, campsites, fishing, kayaking, and many other amenities and activities are available for visitors of all ages.
