Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) with locations in Weatherford, Sayre, and Yukon has announced that the 2023 North Family Endowed Lecture in Parks & Recreation Management will be held at 5:00 p.m. Oklahoma Time on Friday, 24-March-2023, in the North Family Building at Crowder Lake University Park south of Weatherford.

The 2023 North Family Endowed Lecture will be delivered by 2010 SWOSU alumnus Micah Booze. Raised in Thomas, Oklahoma, Booze is a wildland firefighter based out of Chugach National Forest, Alaska. From Alaska to Florida to Utah, Booze has battled blazes and controlled burns from coast to coast. Booze is also the creator of Fire Wild and the A.S.S. Movement.
