SWOSU Creative Media & Visual Arts houses not only the Strategic Communication and Film & Live Entertainment programs. 

Students in this department are preparing for careers in Communications, Public Relations, Film Production, Live Events, Leadership, Management, Social Media Strategy, Donor Relations, Non-Profit Pathways, Entertainment Design, Entertainment Management, Screenwriting, and More. 

The program strives to provide students with as many hands-on learning opportunities as possible, including real-client interactions, live-audience productions, conferences, research trips, and more. 

It operates the Hilltop Theatre & Studios, the Dawgcast Studio, the Southwestern Student Media Production Studio, and maintains several camera and microphone kits that students can sign out for individual projects.
