The SWOSU Football team debuted new uniforms at their home opener played on September 14th against the University of Arkansas-Monticello on Flex-Chem Field at Milam Stadium.
The new uniforms are made possible by the generosity of SWOSU alumni and friends providing contributions to the SWOSU Football Legacy Fund.
Thanks to the efforts of the Legacy Fund, the Bulldogs were able to purchase two complete uniforms with the privately donated funds – an ‘alternate’ Carolina blue jersey for selected home games and a white jersey as a dedicated road option. Both uniform tops are accompanied by color-matching pant bottoms. The latest uniforms, alongside all other official SWOSU Football apparel, continue to be branded by Under Armour through the longstanding SWOSU Athletic partnership with BSN Sports.
The additions to SWOSU’s uniform repertoire now provide four color options – navy, grey, Carolina, and white – creating a greater combination of potential gameday outfits the Dawgs can proudly wear.
The SWOSU Football Legacy Fund is a group of volunteers who give of their time, energy, and resources to benefit SWOSU Football in partnership with the SWOSU Athletic Association. The Legacy Fund was established in 2015 by Dustin Wall, ’05, and Michael Hart, ’06, both alumni of the SWOSU Football program.
In addition to Wall and Hart, the Legacy Fund is guided by a Steering Committee comprised of leading SWOSU Football alumni and boosters including: Brian Busey, ’05; Matt Brown, ’08; Mike Brown, ’78; Jimmy Jenkins, ’04; Rick Koch; Pat Lewis; Vance Nye, ’90; and Steve Price, ’83.
“We are so grateful to everyone who has contributed to making these uniforms possible for our SWOSU Football student-athletes,” said SWOSU President Dr. Diana R. Lovell. “A big thanks to the SWOSU Football Legacy Fund for spearheading this exciting initiative!”
The SWOSU Football Legacy Fund is stewarded by the SWOSU Foundation, Inc.
