Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) has announced the receipt of a generous charitable gift from Global Medical Response.
Global Medical Response operates American Medical Response and Air Evac Lifeteam, which provide emergency medical services and rapid medical transport to the Weatherford area.
“SWOSU is deeply grateful to Global Medical Response and Air Evac Lifeteam for this generous investment in our institution,” said SWOSU President Dr. Diana R. “Diane” Lovell. “We hold our emergency services in the highest esteem and value the relationship we have with them.”
The gift will provide valuable financial support in furtherance of SWOSU’s mission and operations.

Global Medical Response’s gift to SWOSU is stewarded by the SWOSU Foundation, Inc. The Foundation was established in 1977 as SWOSU’s independent nonprofit partner. The Foundation is based on SWOSU’s Weatherford campus in the historic Burton House and works to promote philanthropy and distribute funds to support the activities and programs of SWOSU.
