Since 2020, the SWOSU Charitable Hunt has become a favorite event of many alumni and friends. The event, held at Black Oak Farms in Devol, Oklahoma, includes a guided bird hunt, skeet shooting, a live auction, and dinner. Proceeds benefit the SWOSU Parks and Recreation Department.

The Dobson Bulldog Golf Classic, held at Oak Tree National in Edmond, OK, benefits the SWOSU Golf program as well as other SWOSU Athletics programs.

The Southwestern Oklahoma State University Athletic Hall of Fame was started as a way to commemorate student-athletes, coaches, and contributors who have made a significant impact on the University and the SWOSU Athletics Department. The Hall of Fame selection committee, comprised of SWOSU Athletic Staff and Alumni, meets each fall to select candidates for induction during that school year.
