Dillion and Caitlin Freie of Lawton, Oklahoma have made a substantial charitable gift to the Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) Baseball Endowment. This gift is the very first to the new endowment which has been established for the long-term growth and benefit of the SWOSU Baseball program. The endowment’s distribution will be used for scholarships, recruitment and other team needs.

Raised in Anadarko, Oklahoma, Dillon Freie is a 2016 graduate of SWOSU and played baseball for the Bulldogs during his undergraduate years. He is employed by the Orchard Group at Morgan Stanley in Lawton. His wife, Caitlin Freie, owns and operates Caitlin Elizabeth Photography. The Freies have one son, Cannon.

Baseball has a rich heritage at SWOSU and was one of the earliest organized games played on campus. Yearbook photos provide record of a baseball team prior to statehood in 1906, when the University was known as “Southwestern Normal School.”

“Many thanks to Dillon and Caitlin for giving back to SWOSU Baseball in such a generous way,” said SWOSU Athletic Director Todd Helton. “It’s always great to see former players supporting SWOSU Athletic programs.”
