Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) will host a visit from noted author and proud alumnus, Dr. Jim Logan, on Tuesday, October 27th, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Timothy T. Day Business Enterprise Center at 1121 N. 7th Street in Weatherford on the SWOSU campus (just west of SWOSU’s Milam Stadium).
A proud SWOSU alumni and a fourth-generation Oklahoman from Weatherford, Logan has graciously agreed to discuss his writings which have been featured in a number of notable publications; he will also discuss his first novel Of Saints & Rivers. He will take questions from participants and sign books. Copies of Of Saints & Rivers will be available for purchase.

Logan began writing historical articles for Oklahoma Today magazine in 2011. His pieces have been recipients of a Western Heritage Wrangler Award, a Spur Award finalist, and received seven IRMA and SPJA awards.
Aside from history and writing, his interests include following college sports, good films, and good music. Among his favorite places are Oklahoma’s Wichita Mountains and Blue River. Following the loss of his wife of thirty-six years, he moved to Memphis, Tennessee a few years ago to spend more time with children and grandchildren. He returns regularly to Oklahoma, which he’ll always consider home.
