The Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) Foundation, Inc., has announced the Supporting Sponsors for the 4th Annual SWOSU Charitable Hunt. This year’s Hunt will be held on September 15th in Devol, Oklahoma, at BlackOak Farms.
Flex-Chem and United Country Heard Auction & Real Estate are providing a Gift Sponsorship for event attendees.
Longtime SWOSU benefactors Mike North and Ron Oldfield are providing the Skeet Shoot Sponsorship for the Hunt.
Blue Sky Bank is serving as Dinner Sponsor for the Hunt.
Founded in 2002 by 1995 SWOSU alumnus and Foundation Trustee Mr. Bryce Conway, Flex-Chem is a technology company recognized as a leader in providing innovative chemical solutions in the energy production industry. Flex-Chem maintains operations in Weatherford, Edmond, Ada, and Pecos (TX).
Corky (SWOSU Class of 1987) and Missy (SWOSU Classes of 1987 and 1992) Heard are the owners of United Country Heard Auction & Real Estate in Clinton, Oklahoma. Heard will also be serving as auctioneer for this event.
North (SWOSU Class of 1980) has successfully owned and operated a variety of businesses throughout his career. North and his wife, Marilyn Flinchum, established the SWOSU North Family Endowment in 2021. The fund was created to provide ongoing support to the SWOSU Department of Parks & Recreation Management (PRM).
Oldfield (SWOSU Class of 1980), owns and operates his own accounting firm in Terrell, Texas. Oldfield has participated in and sponsored the Hunt since the popular event began in 2020.
Blue Sky Bank (formerly First Bank and Trust of Weatherford) will be providing dinner for The Hunt. Jarred Jones of Blue Sky will be cooking up some of his specialties for attendees to enjoy. Jones currently serves as SWOSU Athletic Association President.
The proceeds from The Hunt will be allocated to the Dr. Ken Rose Memorial Fund, which exists to help SWOSU produce the next generation of conservationists, sportsmen and sportswomen, wildlife law enforcement officials, park rangers and many others.

MA+ Architecture is serving as the Hunt’s Presenting Sponsor and major underwriter for 2023.
This unique event will be facilitated by BlackOak Farms in Devol, Oklahoma. BlackOak is a full-service hunting operation that is integrated with traditional agriculture practices of farming and ranching. A sporting clay competition will be followed by a late afternoon/early evening guided dove hunt. Following the hunt, participants will be treated to a cocktail reception, dinner, and live auction.
